Trent had been on planes many times, he knew turbulance was normal. His soon to be finance, Emily, was sitting next to him. This was her first time ever on a plane. He was trying to comfort her. It's alright babe, this is totally normal. He continued to say, until the pilot came over the intercom in a somewhat frantic voice, asking everyone to put thier seatbelts on. Trent snapped his seatbelt into place, and calmed Emily down enough for her to snap her seatbelt. ''Its going to crash... It's going to crash...'' Emily had started to say through hyperventalated breathing. She was scared, but Trent was thinking the same thing. The turbulance was severe now, and it kept getting worse.
The plane seemed to have hit a huge air pocket, and was now pointing down towards the earth. They where crashing. Trent wrapped his fingers around Emilys. Em, I love... BOOM. The tail end of the plane, which is where they where at, had broken off the rest of the plane. Everybody was screaming and frantic, this was the end. The tail end of the plane crashed into the water. Trent gasped for breath as he struggled to undo his seat belt and Emilys. Emily was frantic as the water quickly filled the plane. Trent luckily was wearing shorts and a tank top, he was scared half to death but wouldn't tell Emily.
The water now filled his lungs as he struggled to push up and out of the plane while pulling Emily up with him. He tried to keep his eyes open as he did so. His lungs and throat where burning now, needing air. All of his sinus's where screaming for oxygen. Everybody was frantically trying to swim out of the plane. Emily was limp as Trent tried to pull him and her up and into the air. He pushed off one of the seats hard, pulling Emily up with him, and sucked in air as he struggled to the surface. He pulled Emilys head above water. It's OK babe, were going to be OK. Trent wished he belived what he was saying.
It took every ounce of strength and effort he had, but he and Emily had made it to the shore line. Where he was, he had no idea. He figured rescue would be coming soon. People where swimming up onto the beach. There didn't seem to be many survivors. He hauled Emily onto the beach and lay her on her back. She wasn't breathing. Em.. Emily get up. Come on, where safe now. He pressed on her chest a few times, feeling anger and tears well up in his throat. Emily! Get up! His voice was almost a yell now. Get up God Damnit! He shook her slightly, before starting CPR.
He put his lips on hers, they already felt cold, and breathed into her. Her stomach rose, and he started pressing on her sturnum. Come on Em... Get up... Wake up, damnit...! He had tears welling in his eyes as they fell onto her wet, lifeless skin. He knew it was too late, there was no point in trying. He ran his hand on her face and closed her eyes. He pulled the engagement ring out of his pocket, and put it on her finger, collapsing in the sand, trying not to scream. You can't be gone... not you... not now... not here...
His eyes where red as he looked up to the sky. His skin was covered in sand, and he stared at the sky. You think this is funny? His voice was a yell now. You just took the most fucking priceless thing on the planet! He looked back at Emily. I will always love you, Em. He kissed her hand, and crossed her arms across her stomach, leaving the ring on her finger for a moment, before taking it back off. He couldn't bare the thought of it. He looked at the locket on her neck that her father had given her. He un clasped it and looked at it, and put it in his pocket. He would give it to her father.
