Zirah walked to the outdoor pens and tossed her arms along the top rail. Her chin rested on them as a sigh escaped her pink lips. A breeze ran through the air and ruffled her green shirt. She kicked one of her feet back and watched the horses out and about. She had come here to leave her past behind, but it was ever in the front of her mind. Her brown eyes scanned and took in the sights around her. Zirah loved the out doors and smiled. She moved, her tan shorts rudding together and showing off her bronzed muscular legs. Resuming her walk, Zirah continued to study the horses around her. Her brown hair swayed as she made her way around. She had never had the opportunity to really work with horses. Yeshua was opening a window just when everything to her had seemed lost. Perhaps the healing would continue and maybe she would make friends.

Catherine grabbed Ren's leather halter out of the tack room before she walked out of the main barn to the outdoor pens. She would normally have had her horses indoors but Ren was energetic and needed to be able to run around at any point in time during the day. She walked across the dirt in her leather riding boots and looked around the ranch. The sky was a bright blue and there was a slight breeze rusting the trees and bushes around Bear Creek Ranch.
Cathy neared Ren's pen and as the large stallion came into view and her for him he let out a soft neigh before leaning up against the fence and draping his neck over the top. The light bay followed Cathy along the fence until she opened the gate. She slipped the halter on quickly before leading him out. Ren stretched up tall and lifted his head to smell the breeze that blew by them. He wasn't as hyper as he usually was but that was probably because he had been turned out earlier that morning for a few hours.
Cathy stood running a hand down the horse's neck for a few moments before the gave him a loving kiss on his velvety nose and starting to lead him back to the barn. As Cathy walked along the pens, Ren kept up with her in his usual forward walk. He dipped his head before stopping suddenly and staring straight ahead. Cathy followed his dark brown eyes until they rested on another woman down the way by a few other pens. Cathy looked at the stallion and he relaxed before pulling Cathy on. "Hi there." Cathy said when she and Ren were about ten feet away from the woman. "I'm Catherine Ruby. I don't believe we've met before." Cathy said with a friendly smile.

Zirah wandered around in her own little world. The sun beat down and she looked up to the trees, tempted to climb. How she missed Israel. Her hand moved to her shoulder and grabbed a strand, curling it between fingers. Zirah heard a voice and a horse and looked up. Zirah looked ver to otheir way, startled. Shalom, I am Zirah. I dont know people here. Zirah responded in her thick middle eastern accent, her english still a little broken. But her eyes lit with the prospect of making a friend. She offered a smile and walked towards them. You are from around here, yes? Zirah asked curiously, she wanted to see if many others had come from as far as she.
He wont mind, yes? Changing the subject quickly, she asked as her head tilted and she held her hand to the big stallion, and waited for the girl in front of her to answer.

Cathy nodded her head slowly and smiled back at the woman as she spoke. "It's nice to meet you." Catherine said quietly. Ren stood next to her quietly. She looked up at him and saw his brown eyes watching this new woman intently. He took a while to warm up to knew people just because he didn't know them.
Catherine watched the woman stretch out a hand and then she looked up at Ren as if to tell him not to try anything stupid. "He should be fine..." Her voice trailed off as she watched her large horse sniff the woman's hand. He brushed his velvety muzzle across the woman's hand before resting it there and breathing hot hair into her hand.
He was such a sweet horse and Cathy was glad she had gotten him instead of the mare her mother had wanted her to get. Besides, Catherine had a feeling her mother had fancied the mare herself and wanted Cathy to get her just so she would have an excuse to come out to Bear Creek. But the moment Cathy laid eyes on Ren she knew he was the horse for her. They had been together for a while now and although Cathy missed her pony Flash, she had a new best friend that she intended to hold onto forever. She gave him a gentle pat on his neck and he relaxed by dipping his head down to sniff the ground. "Do you have a horse here, Zirah?" Catherine asked quietly. The wind picked up again and she had to pin a few strands of her fiery red hair back behind her ear.

ZIrah dipped her head in response, Its nice to meet you as well Zirah waited as the horse came near and giggled as his muzzle tickled her hand. She moved it slowly and up towards his face, gently caressing him. No I have no horse, I dont know much about them and riding. My father... A flash of pain spread across her face as the mentione of him. He used to take me every blue moon She replied. It had been over two years since she lost her family. The guilt and grief were still very much apart of her. She had hoped coming here would help. She looked at the the girl in front of her after composing herself. She didint like getting emotional in front of others. But I do wanna learn more, just have to find a horse first i guess.

Cathy cocked her head and watched the woman as she spoke. Ren stood next to her looking every which way multiple times before he finally relaxed again. He could be so uptight at times but Catherine had gotten used to it by the second day of having him. They had just seemed to click, Ren and Cathy.
Cathy's smile faded but her expression remained friendly. She hadn't seen a new person at Bear Creek in a while let alone Missoula. Missoula was fairly big but she knew a lot of people there. She supposed living in Montana gave her the impression that it was small. Compared to other states there wasn't a whole lot in Montana but it was worse in other parts.
"Well you can certainly ride here. We also have horses for lease instead of buying a horse." Cathy said. She had almost leased but she didn't feel a connection to any of the other horses at Bear Creek. She loved a lot of them but Ren and Flash had been those two horses Cathy worked with best. There wasn't a huge explanation for why Cathy and Ren were great together except for the idea that they were always destined to be each other's horse and rider."Have you started any lessons?" Cathy asked quietly.

(I'm still trying to get the hang of good/descriptive 150+ word posts so this might be a bit short.)
Ashlyn walked past the seemingly endless rows of outdoor pens, keeping Nyx away from the horses inside them. Poor Nyx, she thought, stroking the Thoroughbred's silky mane, She must have been so neglected that she doesn't like other horses anymore. She cleared her thoughts of the horrid scene when she bought the mare, a 6-month-old filly then. The roan horse tossed her head and neighed, sounding more like a scream. Ashlyn looked ahead and saw two girls and a large stallion. Nyx half-reared and Ashlyn struggled to keep her on the ground. She wasn't too far away from the girls so she waved, a sheepish smile on her face. "Hi! Sorry, I can't come any closer. My mare doesn't get along well with other horses." she says over the noise of Nyx's hooves. The Thoroughbred pranced in place and strained against the lead, her ears flattened. "Ssshhhh, girl. It's okay." she says rubbing the mare's forehead gently. The white diamond and stripe complimented the mare's white stocks and her red roan coat.

Maybe, I havent made decision yet to lease. but i definetly want to learn ride, take lessons. Zirah's face flushed. Her somewhat broken english sometimes drove even her insane. Slicha She said in hebrew, my english not so good She apologized, and studied the girl. She seemed quiet, but had a strong connection with the horse next to her. She smiled, maybe one day she too would have the same. She needed something or someone to help heal the hurt. A wave of sadness crossed her face and just as quickly removed it and gave a weak smile. She moved her chocolate eyes around and they landed upon another girl and her horse coming towards them.
Zirah smiled, Shalom She waved a welcome to the newcomer. Zirah studied the girl's horse, noticing the nice conformation and beautiful coat. Zirah shrugged at the girl's words and horse's antics. She moved to the side and looked to Cathy and Ren.
[thats ok, mine are definetly under 200 and just over 150]

Ashlyn stared at the girl with black hair for a moment. Shalom? Is she not from around here? she thought. "You're not from around here, are you?" she asks as Nyx started to finally calm down, the mare's neck covered in sweat. She clicked her tongue and took a sky blue rag out of her pocket and wiped away the sweat. The Thoroughbred snorted and took a couple steps backward, studying the humans and stallion before her. "I'm Ashlyn. This is my thoroughbred mare, Nyx." she says, a friendly smile on her face. Ashlyn ran her hand through her orange pigtails, gently taking out the knots and tangles. She hoped that she'd make some new friends here.

Zirah shook her head, as her brown curly tresses swayed around her face. Israel actually Zirah smiled, But that part is past. Zirah said contentedly. Have you lived here always? She asked, curiousity piqued.
She looks like a handful Zirah nodded to the nervous and anxious mare next to Ashlyn. Zirah looked at bothe girls and then to her side, she was the oddball. She had nothing in common with these two. They had horses and knew them well, where as Zirah had no horse and knew not how to ride really. She hung her head and used the tip of her shoe to play with the dirt a bit. Just when she thought she might make a few friends, but she didnt think she was gonna fit in. Zirah shrugged as her thoughts began to wander off, and she tuned out all reality and what was around her. A smile tugged at her lips.

"Israel? Cool!"" she says. She remembered when she was younger, she did a project on Israel and it was so much fun! "And no. I actually just got here yesterday. I'm from Ohio but I've lived in Kentucky my whole life. This is a new experience." She looked over at Nyx, who was wide-eyed staring at the girl. "Stop that." she scolds Nyx, playfully ruffling her mane. The mare snorted in her face and Ashlyn giggled. "What's your name?"
(It is short cause this is morning for me. XD ))

Its beautiful there. The lush forests and mild climates. And so much culture! The wailing wall, The temple in Jerusalem, and restuarants on the beach. Its quite lovely. Zirah smiled as she talked a bit of her homeland, suddenly feeling very homesick. I am Zirah, She's beautiful she replied adn eyeing the horse.
Ohio? and Kentucky? Whats it like, I am new to the ameriqa, and want to know more, more, more Zirah waited expectantly and ran her hands through her tresses and smoothed her tank top a little.

"Cool. It's nice to meet you Zirah." she smiles, moving her hair out of her face. "Yeah, it took a while for her to look this good." Ashlyn giggles, planting a kiss on Nyx's nose. Hearing how eager Zirah was to hear about America, she decided to think of a good way to describe Ohio and Kentucky. "Ohio is a very cold place compared to here. It usually gets alot of snow every winter, and maybe a tornado here and there. If I remember correctly, Kentucky is very popular for Thoroughbred racing. There are more states in America, but this is the third I've ever been to." she says smiling.

Zirah listened and took everything in, Israel was small in respect that everyone knew everyone. It was a nice tight little community. thats very cool, sounds like israel, without the snow Zirah explained as her eyes lighted when speaking of her home. I miss it and my family Zirah said as a flicker of pain crossed her face. Zirah shook her hands and ran her fingers through her hair as she pulled it back into a pony, and tugged at the end of it

Catherine watched Ren as he looked at the mare for a moment and then resumed to sniffing the ground. She gave a gently tug on his lead rope and he lifted his head slowly. The large stallion stared off in the distant at a rabbit that was sitting near another horse's pen. He watched it quietly before his gaze traveled to somewhere further off in the distance.
Cathy just listened to the two girls conversing quietly. It seemed both girls were new to Montana. It would be quite a difference from Israel, Ohio, and Kentucky. Cathy had been to Kentucky a couple of times but never Ohio or Israel. She liked to travel but she would either get car sick or air sick on long drives and flights.
Catherine Ruby kept a close eye on Ren but she didn't really think he needed to be watched. He was a pretty obedient and intelligent stallion and to her it seemed he knew when the time was right to act like a completely maniac and when to behave himself. Cathy ran a hand down his neck to brush off a piece of hay before running a hand through his neatly pulled mane. Catherine looked at Ashlyn's horse quietly before speaking. "Sorry for my delayed introduction. I'm Catherine."
