Not everyone knows a whole lot about horses and that's just fine. So at EH I have put together some helpful hints for when you join and/or create you character's horse(s).
001
researching some horse breeds might not be a bad idea.
it will really help you out when your character is talking
about or roleplaying with their horse. if you don't want to
read an entire text about a breed try looking at their
uses, & their typical breed color & height. you can find
tons of horse breeds here which also gives you some
background on the breed.

when you create a character and you know they will ride
and/or have horses you'll need to choose a discipline. you
can use the link here to learn about a few disciplines.

there are also lots of colors for different breeds of horses. if
you research a specific breed it will usually tell you the usual
colors for that breed. some colors are black, dark bay, light bay,
liver chestnut, chestnut, blue roan, red roan, strawberry roan,
palomino, grey, flea bitten grey, dapple grey, dun, etc.
